In the morning, we leave your accommodation to begin the Marrakech to Merzouga journey, reaching the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass at 2,260 m above sea level, with plenty of photo stops along the picturesque mountain route.

Our next destination is the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s most famous filming location. This ancient fortified village has served as the backdrop for numerous Hollywood blockbusters including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Game of Thrones. The historic ksar dates back nearly a thousand years and was once a major stop along the caravan route between Marrakech and Merzouga.

After exploring the kasbah and enjoying lunch, we’ll journey along the famous Route of a Thousand Kasbahs to the Dades Valley, stopping in the enchanting town of Kalaat M’Gouna — Morocco’s “Valley of Roses,” where millions of Damascus roses paint the landscape pink each spring. From this fragrant oasis, we’ll continue our scenic drive to the Dades Valley for our overnight stay.

As part of your Marrakech to Merzouga journey, we continue toward Erfoud, Morocco’s fossil capital, passing through traditional Berber villages like Tinejdad.

After breakfast, depart for Marrakech via the spectacular High Atlas Mountains route. As your Marrakech to Merzouga tour begins its final leg, journey through the magnificent Draa Valley — Morocco’s longest river at 1,100 kilometres, which creates the world’s largest palm grove.

This lush green corridor stretches 200 km and serves as a vital oasis in the desert, where cereals and vegetables grow beneath the shade of towering palm trees, and charming Berber villages dot the landscape. Enjoy the changing scenery and cultural richness that define the route.

After this scenic and memorable drive, you’ll arrive at your Marrakech accommodation, marking the end of your unforgettable 3-day desert tour adventure.
