Day 1: Errachidia to Merzouga & Luxury Desert Camp

As you journey towards Merzouga, you’ll pass through the diverse landscapes of the Ziz Valley, noticing the change from rocky plains to lush palm groves. Upon arrival in Merzouga, you’ll meet your camel guide and embark on a memorable camel trek over the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes. The trek is timed perfectly to witness a breathtaking Sahara sunset, painting the sky in fiery hues.
After the sunset, you’ll arrive at your luxury desert camp. Settle into your well-appointed tent, complete with comfortable bedding and private facilities. Day 2: Desert Exploration, Fossil Factory & Errachidia Departure

Following breakfast, you’ll either camel trek back or be transferred by 4×4 from the camp to meet your driver. Your journey continues with some exploration around the Merzouga area. You might visit a local Berber village, listen to Gnawa music, or explore the area’s unique landscapes.
Next, you’ll head towards Erfoud, a town renowned for its fossils. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a fossil factory shop. Witness skilled artisans transforming ancient marine life into beautiful tables, sinks, and decorative items. It’s a fascinating insight into Morocco’s geological past.
