Fes to Marrakech: Camel Trek Expedition

Join us on a captivating three-days journey through the Moroccan desert from Fez to Merzouga. Explore the most picturesque landscapes, delight in a camel trek, and witness the enchanting sunset over the Merzouga dunes. Visit the stunning Toudra and Dades Gorges, explore the historic Kasbah Ouarzazate, and marvel at the beauty of Berber villages from Fez to Marrakech. Immerse yourself in the diverse and breathtaking scenery of Morocco.

DAY-1

FEZ – IFRAN – MIDELT – MERZOUGA

Early departure your driver will pick you up at your hotel. We take the road to Merzouga via Ifrane city referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco” after that we will head to the forests of Azrou (the largest in Morocco) where are huge trees and wild monkeys. 

Then we will have a break lunch. On the way to the Sahara desert of Merzouga / Erg Chebbi, we will pass by Erfoud, a town that is famous for fossils and dates. It is a beautiful experience to drive a camel to Erg Chebbi, where the silence of the desert is dominant. 

Spend the night under the stars in a nomadic traditional Amazigh (Berber) tent.

DAYS-2

MERZOUGA – TODRA GORGE – DADES VALLEY – OASIS OF SKOURA – OUARZAZATE

Wake up early for a sunrise for life on the dunes, you will appreciate the color change of the sand with the sunlight. Prepare your cameras and phones for memorable photos. 

After having breakfast, you will have camel ride back to your vehicle enjoying the silence and charm of the sunny dunes. Then we will embark on a new journey through the palm groves and the oasis, then direction to Tinghir and its incredible Todra Gorge over 400m in height (higher than the Empire State Building in New York) After the visit we will continue to Boumalen dades and the gorges above the valley. 

 

Numerous stops to take pictures along the valley, then continuation to the Kalaat megouna (valley of the roses), famous for its annual festival of roses which takes place every year in May. 

After visiting a cooperative of roses, we will head to Ouarzazte via the oasis of Skoura, then arrive in Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAYS-3

OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH

Visit the Ouarzazate city famous for its kasbahs, including Taourirt World Heritage Site and we will stop to visit the museum of cinema and film studios, where many international films were shot , such as: (Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, The games of the throne, the Babel …). 

 

20 km later, we turn right to visit the famous kasabah of Ait Ben Haddou. After the visit, we will continue to cross the High Atlas Mountains, its spectacular landscapes and the hidden Berber villages at the foot of the immense valleys, then we carry on to Marrakech.
